St. Thomas Bay, Munxar Point, Xrobb l-Għaġin and il-Ħofriet.

The Malta Photographic Society is organising another summer event inviting its members for a kayaking experience to experience the natural beauty of the Munxar shorelines. With the rise and shine tour, those coming will have the opportunity to appreciate sunrise and the first rays of light shimmering on the coastal area of Munxar and Xrobb l-Ghagin area.

We meet at 05:30 at St. Thomas Bay, near the slipway next to Zion Bar & Restaurant. There will be ample space where you can leave your vehicle. We will have two instructors with us who will provide us with the necessary equipment, mainly life-jackets, first aid kit and dry bags. We have booked 5 sit-on-top tandem kayaks. You don’t need to be a pro. If it’s going to be your first time experience, our instructors will explain and show how to paddle and use the kayaks. We leave St. Thomas Bay heading to Munxar point to enjoy the sunrise which is expected at 06:25. Then we paddle to one of the amazing caves at Xrobb l-Ghagin.

Don’t forget to bring your mobiles, gopro or camera equipment. It is very important to have a suitable waterproof sealed case for your equipment.

The duration of the tour is approximately 3 hours. Be sure to bring sunscreen, protection for your head, a pair of shoes you don’t mind getting wet and at least a 1 litre bottle of water.

The instructors will do their best to accommodate our wishes, and this tour is weather dependent and will be confirmed one day before the tour begins. If the weather conditions are unfavourable, we will postpone this event to the Saturday after, 28th August.
